For Our Patients >> What's New >> PAL "PAL" - the Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital's Pediatric Advice Line Ridgefield Pediatric Associates is pleased to announce the availability of PAL for your after-hour questions. The Pediatric Advice Line is staffed by experienced Registered Nurses at the Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. They can provide assistance if you have questions about your child’s health when the office is closed. When you call our office after hours, simply tell the answering service operator you have a health question about your child. Your message will immediately be given to a pediatric trained triage registered nurse at the Pediatric Advice Line. They will return your call promptly. The nurse will discuss your concerns and will provide health care advice. If your call requires immediate attention by the doctor, the nurse will consult the pediatrician who is on call for your child. Whenever you contact the Pediatric Advice Line, your doctor receives a report of your call on the next day so that he or she can follow up with you as necessary. Questions regarding routine appointments and prescription refills will be handled only during regular office hours. Approximately 300 pediatricians in Connecticut are using this service, and we are excited to offer it to our patients. |
