NEW PATIENT COORDINATOR - If you are interested in becoming a patient in our practice, we have a New Patient Coordinator, Tracey Laskowitz, to help you with this transition. She is here to assist you in getting your records, answering questions about our providers, hours, providers, as well as general questions about the practice. INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL. If you are planning a trip abroad it is never to early to schedule an appointment with our travel specialist! In addition to updating your child’s routine immunizations, Ridgefield Pediatrics now also has Typhoid Vaccine in stock. Typhoid Vaccination is recommended by the CDC for protection against a potentially severe systemic disease called typhoid fever which is caused by a bacterium called “SalmonellaTyphi.” This bacterium is acquired by ingestion of contaminated food and water and is endemic in the developing countries of the world, especially in South Asia. Our travel specialist will also discuss how to protect against food and waterborne diseases (travelers diarrhea) and prescribe the appropriate antibiotics.
